Artist Roy Munday

Welcome to my paintings and prints of both Liverpool and the surrounding area. I have been producing paintings and prints of Liverpool, its waterfront and several other iconic locations for many years. Combining my painting practice with teaching art.

I first started focusing on Liverpool, especially its iconic waterfront, after graduating from John Moore's university with a degree in fine art. I then had a studio in Duke street which allowed me the opportunity to work directly in the city. When the studios had to close, I moved to another studio north of Liverpool and where I still work.

My commissioned paintings can be found a numerous locations within the city of Liverpool itself, including the Liverpool Echo building, John Moores university, and several private clients. Other paintings and prints are dotted around the world, usually by people who have a connection with Liverpool.

In recent years I have been concentrating on four main mediums now are oil paintings, watercolours, pen & ink and recently collage work. This allows me to be more creative as I sometimes combine several mediums together (mixed media).

My personal style continues to evolve, usually as a result of experimentation, especially when I introduce new techniques or thinking to my art classes.
